The Powerball jackpot has jumped up to a projected $39,000,000 (cash value $$18.6 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Wednesday night. The grand prize amount has been carried over since no player matched all six winning numbers to take the $28,000,000 grand prize Monday night. The winning numbers from Monday, October 28th, 2024 drawing were 21-27-32-48-67 and Powerball was 17.
Although there was no grand prize winner Monday evening, some people still walked away with large winnings. A total of 6 lucky players won the third prize. 2 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Additional winners Monday night included 105 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 39 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, but additionally chose the Power Play option, double the winnings to a total win of $200 each! 271 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 122 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
With 9 prize levels, the Monday night's drawing produced 247,868 winning tickets nationwide with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which increases the original winnings but not jackpot. The minimum Powerball jackpot is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
