The jackpot in the Powerball multistate lottery game keeps increasing and is going to be up to a projected $815,000,000 for the upcoming drawing on Wednesday. The lump-sum cash payout stands at a projected $$367.9 million up for grab. The amount was rolled over since no player hit all six numbers to win the $750,000,000 jackpot Monday night. The winning numbers drawn Monday night, August 25th, 2025 were 16, 19, 34, 37, 64 with Power Ball 22. The Powerball jackpot has been growing for 37 draws since Monday, June 2nd, 2025. One lucky winner from CA won the 207,000,000 grand prize in Saturday, May 31st, 2025 drawing.
Though the grand prize was not awarded Monday evening, some players still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were 2 lucky winners matched all five numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 2 lucky ticket(s) purchased in GA(1) and TX(1), each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other major winners Monday night included 26 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. America's favorite Powerball game can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday night at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay $1 extra to buy the Power Play option, which multiplies the original winnings except jackpot. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments. Winners can choose one time lump sum cash payout option instead.
