Powerball jackpot jumps to $28,000,000 Monday; One ticket won the second prize

The Powerball lottery jackpot is on the move again. The grand prize for the Monday, October 28th, 2024 drawing goes to $28,000,000 with the cash option of an estimated $$13.4 million. The winning numbers from Saturday night, October 26th, 2024 were 08-12-40-45-51 and Powerball was 15.
Even though the grand prize was not awarded Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There was a single lucky player that correctly matched the first 5 white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in MO will collect $1 million cash.
Additional prizes won Saturday night included 3 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 4 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Other winners Saturday night included 188 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $100. 80 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, but in addition chose the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Powerball game is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Each play costs $2.
