Powerball jackpot moves to $131,000,000 Monday; One ticket matched the first 5 numbers

The Powerball lottery grand prize has jumped up to $131,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$61.2 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Monday night. The jackpot amount has been carried over since no player matched all six winning numbers to take the $120,000,000 grand prize Saturday night. The winning numbers from Saturday, May 25th, 2024 drawing were 06-33-35-36-64 and Powerball number was 24. The Powerball jackpot has been rolling over for 8 draws since Wednesday, May 8th, 2024. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in FL, matched all six numbers for a 214,000,000 top prize.
Although there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There was a single lucky player that correctly matched the first 5 numbers and won the second prize. The one lucky ticket(s) sold in TX, each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional prizes won Saturday night included 10 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $10,000. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Other prizes won Saturday night included 226 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 73 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but in addition purchased the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each!
