Powerball jackpot rises to $88,000,000 Monday night; One player matched the first five numbers

The Powerball multi-state lottery grand prize jumped to $88,000,000 (cash value $$41.4 million) Monday night when there were no top prize winners in the $77,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The winning numbers from Saturday night, May 18th, 2024 were 19, 36, 37, 42, 59 with Power Ball number 19.
While there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There was a sole lucky winner correctly matched all five lotto numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 1 lucky ticket(s) bought in CA, each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 10 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 2 additional players not just matched 4+1, but additionally bought the Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 211 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 82 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! 540 tickets matched 3 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 206 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to win a total win of $200 each.
