Powerball jackpot builds to $157 million; 2 players won the second prize

There has been another rollover in the grand prize for the multistate Powerball lottery - to $157 million. The lump-sum cash payout will be an estimated $108.2 million. The grand prize grew because nobody hit all six winning numbers from Wednesday night's $142 million drawing. The winning numbers from Wednesday, May 5th, 2021 drawing were 16-23-28-40-63 and Powerball number was 01. The Powerball jackpot has been rolling over for 128 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. A single lucky player from Michigan won the $70.00 million top prize in Wednesday, February 12th, 2020 drawing.

Although there was no grand prize winner Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were 2 lucky tickets matched all 5 white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The two lucky ticket(s) purchased in Florida(1) and Michigan(1), each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.

In addition, 8 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 3 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
