Powerball jackpot jumps to $865,000,000; 2 second prize tickets sold

There has been another rollover in the jackpot for the multistate Powerball - to $865,000,000. The lump-sum cash payout will be $$416.1 million. The grand prize grew because no one matched all six winning numbers from Monday night's $800,000,000 drawing. The winning numbers from Monday night, March 25th, 2024 were 07, 11, 19, 53, 68 with Power Ball 23. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 36 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. One lucky player from Michigan walked away with 810,000,000 jackpot in Monday, January 1st, 2024 drawing.
While there was no grand prize winner Monday evening, some players still walked away with huge prizes. There were 2 second prize winners from Monday night's drawing, matching the first 5 numbers except the Powerball number. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in Florida(1) and New York(1) will collect $1 million cash.
Also, 41 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 7 additional players not just matched 4+1, but in addition bought the Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! Additional prizes won Monday night included 982 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 239 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash! There were 2409 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 687 additional players not only matched 3+1, and also bought the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.

Powerball can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. The minimum Powerball jackpot is $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may select one lump-sum cash payout instead.
