Powerball jackpot goes to $800,000,000; Five players matched the first five numbers

The Powerball multi-state lottery grand prize rolled up to $800,000,000 (cash value $$384.8 million) Monday night when there were no jackpot winners in the $750,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The numbers from Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 drawing were 06, 23, 25, 34, 51 and Powerball was 03. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past 35 draws since Wednesday, January 3rd, 2024. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a 810,000,000 top prize.
Although there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were five 2nd prize winners from Saturday night's drawing, matching the first five white ball numbers but not the Powerball number. The five lucky ticket(s) bought in California(1), Florida(1), Indiana(1), Texas(1) and Washington(1), each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Additional major winners Saturday evening included 38 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Powerball and won $10,000. 14 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash! Also, 1097 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 269 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 2672 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 684 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With 9 different prize levels, there were 1,927,455 tickets across U.S. won a total of $0 prizes in the Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 drawing.
