The Powerball lottery grand prize is on the move again. The grand prize for the Saturday, March 20th, 2021 drawing moves to $200 million with the cash option of a projected $136.5 million. The winning numbers drawn Wednesday night, March 17th, 2021 were 34, 38, 42, 61, 62 with Power Ball 19. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for 114 draws since Saturday, February 15th, 2020. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in Michigan, matched all six numbers for a $70.00 million top prize.
Although the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There were 3 lucky players that matched the first five white ball numbers and won the second prize. The 3 second prize winning ticket(s) bought in Michigan(1), New York(1) and South Carolina(1) will collect 1 million dollar cash.
Also, 8 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the winnings by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each! In addition, 336 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 82 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 747 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Powerball and won $100. 237 additional tickets at this prize level were also bought with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.

Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. To play Powerball, select 5 numbers from 1 to 59 then pick one Powerball number from a set of 35. The odds of winning any prizes are about 1 to 32. The chances of winning Powerball grand prize are about 1 in 175 million. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at 40 million dollar. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may select one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
