Saturday's Powerball grand prize increased to $320,000,000, since no ticket hit all 6 winning numbers drawn Wednesday night. The lump-sum cash payout for Saturday will be a projected $$150.8 million. Wednesday's $295,000,000 is the total grand prize amount - before taxes - if the prize is taken in annuity. The numbers from Wednesday, March 5th, 2025 drawing were 24-28-40-63-65 with Power Ball 20.
Even though the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. 9 third prize winning tickets were sold across the U.S.. 3 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 205 tickets that matched 4 white numbers and won $100. 51 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash! There were 460 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Powerball and also won $100. 163 additional players not only matched 3+1, but also bought the Power Play option, doulbled the prizes to $200 cash each ticket.
