Two winners from MO and TX split $1,800,000,000 Powerball jackpot

Two tickets sold in MO(1) and TX(1) matched all 6 numbers in Saturday night's Massachusetts Powerball lottery drawing, worth approximately $1,800,000,000, lottery officials said. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, September 6th, 2025 were 11-23-44-61-62 with Power Ball 17. The jackpot winners will now need to determine to either take the 29-year, 30-installment annuity, or the one time cash lump-sum in the amount of $826.4 million before Uncle Sam's share is extracted. The winning ticket holders are encouraged to sign the ticket, place it in a safe place and contact lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winners have the opportunity to choose the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner do not make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
In addition to the jackpot awarded on Saturday, Powerball generated more happy winners walked away with huge prizes. There were twenty second prize winners from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first five lotto numbers but not the Powerball number. The two ticket(s) in KS(1) and TX(1) matched the first 5 lotto numbers with the Power Play for an incredible 2 million dollar cash win! This is part of the Powerball feature that guarantees a certain multiplier on all match 5 white ball winners that also have the Power Play option pushing the second prize to 2 million dollar cash. Eighteen other lucky ticket(s) bought in CA(2), CO(1), FL(1), IL(2), KS(1), MA(1), MI(1), NJ(1), NY(2), OH(2), OR(1), TX(2) and WV(1), each won 1 million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers!
