Monday's Powerball jackpot builds to $230,000,000; Two players won the second prize

The jackpot in America's favorite Powerball lottery is on the move. Because nobody correctly matched all 5 lotto numbers plus the Powerball number in Saturday's drawing, the grand prize will go to a projected $230,000,000! The cash value stands at an estimated $$105.2 million up for grab. The numbers from Saturday night, February 22nd, 2025 were 07, 18, 22, 50, 65 with Power Ball number 15. The Powerball grand prize has been growing for fifteen draws since Monday, January 20th, 2025. The last jackpot was won by a single ticket sold in OR, matched all six numbers for a 331,000,000 top prize.
Even though the jackpot was not awarded Saturday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were two 2nd prize winners from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching the first 5 lotto numbers except the Powerball number. The two lucky ticket(s) purchased in IL(1) and VT(1), each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Other prizes won Saturday evening included 10 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Also, 281 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 103 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Saturday evening included 726 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Powerball and won $100. 240 additional tickets of this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled the prize to $200 cash.
With nine different prize levels, the Saturday night's drawing produced 566,500 winning tickets across the nation with a total amount of $0 prizes.
America's favorite Powerball lottery can be played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. Powerball lottery uses a 5/59+1/35 system from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to buy the Power Play, which increases the original prizes but not grand prize. The minimum Powerball grand prize is 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment payments in 29 years. Winners may choose one lump sum cash payout option instead.
