The jackpot in America's favorite Powerball lottery game continues to increase exciting players all across the nation. Because no one correctly hit all six numbers in Saturday's drawing the jackpot will jump to a projected 246,000,000! The cash option stands at an estimated $128.5 million up for grab. The winning numbers from Wednesday, December 28th, 2022 drawing were 26-32-38-45-56 with Power Ball 01.
Although the jackpot was not awarded Wednesday evening, Powerball had some big winners. A total of 10 lucky winners won the third prize. 4 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied the prize 4 times to $40,000 cash!
Other prizes won Wednesday evening included 288 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 71 additional players not just matched 4 white ball, but additionally bought the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! Other prizes won Wednesday night included 642 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Powerball and won $100. 203 additional tickets at this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
With nine different prize levels, the Wednesday night's drawing produced 504,082 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
Powerball is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. can be played in 44 participating states as a shared jackpot game. Powerball drawings occur 2 times a week every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Powerball lottery uses a 5/59+1/35 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to buy the Power Play option, which multiplies the winnings except jackpot. The minimum Powerball jackpot starts at $40 million. The annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
