The jackpot for Wednesday's Powerball drawing skyrockets to $572,000,000

The jackpot in the multi-state Powerball drawing rolled up to $572,000,000 for the Wednesday drawing. The lump-sum cash payout stands at an estimated $$286.7 million. No ticket sold for Monday's $543,000,000 drawing hit five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number. The winning numbers drawn Monday night, December 18th, 2023 were 05-08-19-34-39 and Powerball was 26. Nobody won the Powerball grand prize in the past 29 draws since Saturday, October 14th, 2023. The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in California, matched all six numbers for a 1,730,000,000 top prize.

While there was no grand prize winner Monday evening, Powerball did produce some big winners. There were 2 2nd prize winning tickets from Monday night's Powerball drawing, matching all 5 numbers but not the Powerball number. The 2 lucky ticket(s) bought in North Carolina(1) and New York(1), each won $1,000,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.

Other major winners Monday night included 10 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000. 2 additional tickets at this prize level were also wisely purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! In addition, 410 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100.
