No one won the jackpot last night. Powerball jackpot climbs to $45,000,000

The Powerball multi-state lottery jackpot went to $45,000,000 (cash value $$21.7 million) Saturday night when there were no top prize winners in the $30,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The numbers from Wednesday, December 11th, 2024 drawing were 13-44-50-52-54 and Powerball was 20.
Though the jackpot was not hit Wednesday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. 5 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. There were 0 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
In addition, 120 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $100. There were 55 tickets matched 4 white ball with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to a total win of $200 each! Additional prizes won Wednesday night included 326 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Powerball and won $100. 140 additional tickets at this prize level were also purchased with the Power Play option that doubled winnings to $200 cash.
With nine prize tiers, there were a total of 279,232 tickets nationwide won $0 prizes in the Wednesday, December 11th, 2024 drawing.
America's favorite Powerball game is played in 42 states, D.C. and the US Virgin Islands. Powerball drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. Eastern Time. Each play costs $2. Players can choose to pay 1 extra dollar to purchase the Power Play option, which multiplies the winnings except grand prize. The odds of winning any prizes are about 1 to 32. The odds of matching all six Powerball numbers are 1 to 175,223,510. The minimum Powerball grand prize starts at 40 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 30 yearly increment installments. Winners may choose one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
