One winner from NY took $260,000,000 grand prize from the Powerball drawing Saturday night

A single winner has taken the $260,000,000 grand prize from the latest drawing of the multistate Massachusetts Powerball lottery. The only ticket to match all the winning numbers from Saturday night's drawing was sold in NY. The winning numbers drawn Saturday night, December 7th, 2024 were 01-31-43-55-57 with Power Ball number 22. The holder of the winning ticket will now need to determine to either take the 29-year, 30-installment annuity, or the one time cash lump-sum in the amount of $123 million before Uncle Sam's share is extracted. The jackpot winner is highly suggested to sign the ticket, place it in a secure place and contact lottery officials as soon as possible. Jackpot winner has the chance to select the cash value of the jackpot while claimng the prizes. If the winner doesn't make choice, the payment option will revert to annuity by default.
Besides the jackpot awarded on Saturday, December 7th, 2024, a lot more players took home with big money. There were a total of 18 3rd prize winners. These included 12 tickets that matched four white ball numbers as well as the Powerball and won $10,000.
