Monday's Powerball jackpot increases to $174,000,000; 2 second prize tickets sold

The jackpot in the Powerball multistate lottery game continues moving up and will be up to a projected $174,000,000 for the next drawing on Monday. The cash option stands at a projected $$86.6 million up for grab. The amount was rolled over because no one hit all five lotto numbers and the Powerball number to win the $171,000,000 grand prize Saturday night. The winning numbers from Saturday night, August 3rd, 2024 were 13, 33, 40, 60, 61 with Power Ball number 20.
Though the grand prize was not hit Saturday evening, some people still walked away with huge pile of cash. There were 2 2nd prize winning tickets from Saturday night's Powerball drawing, matching all 5 lotto numbers except the Powerball number. The 1 second prize winning ticket(s) sold in MA will collect 1 million dollar cash. The other one second prize winner(s) from NY also purchased Power Play, which doubled the prize to 2 million dollar cash win!
In addition, 5 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. There were 3 tickets matched 4+1 with Power Play option, multiplying the prizes by 4 for a total win of $40,000 each!
