There were no Mega Millions game jackpot winners for Friday's $47,000,000 dollar drawing, so the grand prize will increase to $62,000,000 with the cash option of an estimated $$31 million Tuesday, September 24th, 2024. The numbers drawn Friday night, September 20th, 2024 were 20-21-40-49-55 and the Mega Ball was 11, Megaplier was 3.

Although the jackpot was not awarded Friday evening, some people still walked away with big money. There were two tickets that correctly matched the first five lotto numbers and won the 2nd prize. The two second prize winning ticket(s) sold in CA,NJ will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.

Also, 7 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday evening included 163 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $150. There were 523 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $150.

With nine different prize levels, there were a total of 903,065 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, September 20th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions is an U.S. popular lottery game offered in 44 participating states as a shared jackpot game. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back on the players in prizes. About 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. About 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions drawings are held 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $12,000,000. Its annuity option is paid in 26 equal annual installments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout option instead.
