No jackpot ticket sold. Mega Millions jackpot builds to $522,000,000 Friday night

Massachusetts Mega Millions News and Payout for Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 Drawing

There were no tickets sold matched all five white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number in the last multi-state Mega Millions lottery draw, and the projected grand prize for Friday's drawing will roll up to $522,000,000, according to lottery officials. The lump-sum cash payout will be $$241.4 million up for grab. The winning numbers from Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 drawing were 12, 18, 48, 57, 62 with Mega Ball 04 and Megaplier 5.

Although the grand prize was not awarded Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were a total of 10 third prize lucky winning tickets. These included 10 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Other prizes won Tuesday night included 368 tickets that matched four white numbers and won $150. 994 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $150.

With nine prize tiers, there were 1,657,956 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, May 28th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. It holds the record highest jackpot in United States lottery history. The overall odds of winning are about 1 to 14. The chances of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 258 million. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize starts at 12 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 26 equal yearly payments. Winners may select one time lump-sum cash payout instead.
