The Mega Millions game jackpot has jumped up to a projected $358,000,000 (cash value $$169.7 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Friday night. The grand prize amount has been rolled over because nobody hit all five white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number to take the $331,000,000 jackpot Tuesday night. The numbers from Tuesday night, July 30th, 2024 were 19-23-30-33-50 and the Mega Ball was 25, Megaplier was 2. No one won the Mega Millions grand prize in the past sixteen draws since Friday, June 7th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $560 million top prize.

While the jackpot was not awarded Tuesday evening, some people still walked away with huge prizes. There were 2 lucky winners correctly matched the first 5 white ball numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The 2 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in IL,TX won a quarter million dollar cash each.

Additional major winners Tuesday evening included 16 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday evening included 338 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $150. 1001 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $150.

With 9 different prize levels, there were a total of 1,398,202 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Tuesday, July 30th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions can be played in 43 states and D.C. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back on the players in prizes. Roughly 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operating costs. Roughly 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the participating states. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend 1 extra dollar to buy the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at $12 million. The annuity option is paid in 26 equal yearly payments. Winners may select one lump sum cash payout instead.
