The Mega Millions game jackpot has jumped up to $153 million (cash value $110.1 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Tuesday night. The jackpot amount has been rolled over because no player hit all six winning numbers to take the $138 million grand prize Friday night. The numbers drawn Friday night, July 23rd, 2021 were 13, 17, 19, 40, 69 and the Mega Ball was 17, Megaplier was 3.

Even though there was no grand prize winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. 13 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. Among them, 13 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000.

Other prizes won Friday evening included 302 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $150. There were 841 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $150.

With nine different ways to win, there were a total of 1,153,272 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, July 23rd, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. It holds the record highest jackpot of $656 million in U.S. lottery history. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back on the players in prize winnings. About 15% is used to as commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Roughly 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. To play, choose 5 numbers from 1 to 56 then choose 1 Mega Ball number from a set of 15. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $12,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 26 equal annual payments. Winners may select one-time lump-sum cash payout instead.
