The Mega Millions lottery grand prize has jumped up to an estimated $120,000,000 (lump-sum cash payout $$52.8 million) for the next drawing in the multistate lottery game Friday night. The jackpot amount has been carried over since no one matched all six winning numbers to take the $110,000,000 grand prize Tuesday night. The numbers from Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 drawing were 22, 41, 42, 59, 69 with Mega Ball number 17 and Megaplier X.

Even though the jackpot was not hit Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some big winners. 3 third prize winning tickets were sold nationwide. These included 3 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Other winners Tuesday evening included 82 tickets that matched 4 white ball numbers and won $150. 296 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. These tickets are also each worth $150.

With 9 prize levels, there were a total of 377,348 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, July 22nd, 2025 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. Approximately 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prizes. Approximately 15% goes to retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. Roughly 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the member states. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. To play, pick 5 numbers from 1 to 56 then choose one Mega Ball number from 1 to 15. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier option, which multiplies the prizes 2 to 5 times but not grand prize. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize starts at 12 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 26 equal yearly payments. Winners may select one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
