The jackpot for Friday's Mega Millions drawing skyrockets to $203,000,000

The jackpot in the Mega Millions multi-state lottery game has been increased to $203,000,000. The cash option will be $$94.9 million. The prize amount was rolled over since nobody hit all five white ball numbers and the Mega Ball number in Tuesday's $181,000,000 drawing. The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday night. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, July 9th, 2024 were 21-26-54-60-64 with Mega Ball number 03 and Megaplier X3. There was no jackpot winning ticket sold in the past ten draws since Friday, June 7th, 2024.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in IL, matched all six numbers for a $560 million top prize.

Though the grand prize was not hit Tuesday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There were 3 lucky tickets correctly matched the first 5 numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the second prize. The 3 lucky ticket(s) bought in CA,OH,WA, each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.

In addition, 8 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other prizes won Tuesday night included 235 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $150. Other prizes won included 631 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $150.

With nine different prize levels, there were 1,157,302 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Tuesday, July 9th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium involving 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions game uses a 5/75 (white balls) + 1/46 (Mega Balls) matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. The minimum Mega Millions advertised grand prize is $12 million. The annuity option is paid in 26 equal yearly installments. Winners may choose one lump-sum cash payout instead.
