The Mega Millions multi-state lottery jackpot rised to $77,000,000 (cash value $$34.8 million) Tuesday night when there were no top prize winners in the $59,000,000 drawing, lottery officials said. The numbers from Friday night, January 31st, 2025 were 09-28-48-56-63 and the Mega Ball was 02, Megaplier was 2.

While there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. A total of 5 lucky tickets won the 3rd prize. These included 5 tickets that matched four white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and won $10,000.

Also, 174 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $150. Other prizes won included 435 tickets that matched 3 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $150.

With nine ways to win, there were a total of 776,296 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, January 31st, 2025 drawing.

Mega Millions is one of the most popular lottery games in the U.S. can be played in 44 participating states as a pari-mutuel jackpot game. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings. Roughly 15% is used to as retailer commissions and lottery operating costs. About 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The minimum Mega Millions jackpot starts at 12 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 26 equal yearly installments. Winners may choose one time lump sum cash payout instead.
