Mega Millions jackpot jumps to $96 million; Five tickets matched the first five numbers

There was no ticket sold matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number in the latest multi-state Mega Millions lottery draw, and the estimated grand prize for Tuesday's drawing will move to $96 million, according to lottery officials. The lump-sum cash payout stands at $69.4 million. The numbers from Friday, February 12th, 2021 drawing were 05-14-24-25-27 with Mega Ball number 14 and Megaplier X3. The Mega Millions grand prize has been growing for 764 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.

While the jackpot was not hit Friday evening, Mega Millions had some huge winners. There were five 2nd prize winning tickets from Friday night's drawing, matching the first 5 numbers but not the Mega Ball number. The five second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.

Additional prizes won Friday evening included 21 tickets that matched 4 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $10,000. Additional prizes won Friday night included 608 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $150. There were 1311 tickets that correctly matched three white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball and also won $150.

With 9 ways to win, there were 1,340,410 winning tickets sold across the nation in the Friday, February 12th, 2021 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. Mega Millions drawings occur 2 times a week every Tuesday and Friday at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time. Mega Millions lottery uses a 5/75+1/46 matrix from which winning numbers are chosen. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to purchase the Megaplier, which multiplies the original prizes 2 to 5 times but not jackpot.
