Mega Millions jackpot increases to $92,000,000; Two second prize tickets sold

With no winner in the latest drawing, the Mega Millions grand prize is going to be worth $92,000,000 (cash option $$45.9 million) the next time the multistate lottery is played on Friday. The amount rolled over because no one matched all five lotto numbers and the Mega Ball number to win the $73,000,000 jackpot Tuesday night. The numbers drawn Tuesday night, December 26th, 2023 were 08-10-22-58-64 and the Mega Ball was 21, Megaplier was 3.

Although there was no jackpot winner Tuesday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There were two lucky tickets correctly matched the first five numbers but missed Mega Ball number, which won the 2nd prize. The two lucky ticket(s) purchased in MO(2), each won one quarter million dollar cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.

Additional prizes won Tuesday evening included 10 tickets that matched 4 white numbers together with Mega Ball and won $10,000. In addition, 215 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers. Those tickets are each worth $150. Other prizes won included 569 tickets that matched 3 white numbers as well as the Mega Ball and won $150.

With 9 different prize levels, there were 864,208 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Tuesday, December 26th, 2023 drawing.

Mega Millions can be played in 43 states and D.C. It holds the record largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. To play Mega Millions, pick 5 numbers from a set of 75 and pick 1 Mega Ball number from a set of 15. The overall chances of winning are about 1 to 14. The chances of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 258 million. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is $12,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 26 equal annual installments. Winners can choose one lump-sum cash payout option instead.
