The lottery official announced that the Friday, April 7th, 2023, Mega Millions drawing resulted in a rollover, generating an 441,000,000 jackpot for the next drawing Tuesday. The lump-sum cash payout will be $238.8 million. The numbers from Friday, April 7th, 2023 drawing were 12, 32, 49, 51, 66 with Mega Ball number 21 and Megaplier x2. The Mega Millions grand prize has been rolling over for 993 draws since Friday, October 4th, 2013.The last jackpot was won by a lucky ticket sold in Maryland, matched all six numbers for a $189 million top prize.

Although there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, Mega Millions did produce some big winners. There was a single 2nd prize winner from Friday night's Mega Millions drawing, matching the first 5 lotto numbers except the Mega Ball number. The one lucky ticket(s) purchased in PA, each won $250,000 cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.

In addition, 13 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, as well as the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other prizes won Friday evening included 441 tickets that matched 4 lotto numbers and won $150. Other prizes won included 1153 tickets that matched 3 white numbers in addition to the Mega Ball and won $150.

With 9 prize levels, there were a total of 1,759,262 winning tickets sold across U.S. in the Friday, April 7th, 2023 drawing.

Mega Millions game is played in 43 states and Washington DC. It holds the record largest jackpot in United States lottery history. Around 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prizes. Approximately 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Approximately 35% total sales is used in government services, education and charities in the member lottery states. Mega Millions drawings occur every Tuesday and Friday night at 7:59 PM Pacific Time. Each play costs $1. In some states, players can choose to spend $1 extra to buy the Megaplier option, which multiplies the winnings 2 to 5 times except jackpot. The odds of winning any prizes are about 1 to 14. The chances of matching all six Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 258 million. The minimum Mega Millions advertised jackpot starts at $12,000,000. The annuity option is paid in 26 equal annual payments. Winners can choose one-time lump sum cash payout instead.
