Without a jackpot winner in the latest drawing, the Mega Millions multistate lottery game has carried over its grand prize to $97,000,000 for Tuesday night's drawing. The cash option stands at an estimated $$45 million up for grab. No player matched all 5 white ball numbers plus the Mega Ball number to win the $67,000,000 jackpot Friday. The next Mega Millions drawing will be at 10:59 PM Tuesday night. The winning numbers from Friday, April 5th, 2024 drawing were 20-30-54-63-65 with Mega Ball number 14 and Megaplier X3.

Even though there was no jackpot winner Friday evening, some players still walked away with big money. There were 3 lucky players that correctly matched the first 5 white ball numbers and won the 2nd prize. The 3 second prize winning ticket(s) purchased in CA,FL,PA will collect a quarter million dollar cash each.

Also, 12 tickets matched 4 of the 5 lotto numbers, plus the Mega Ball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. Other winners Friday evening included 260 tickets that matched four lotto numbers and won $150. There were 792 tickets that matched 3 white ball numbers as well as the Mega Ball and also won $150.

With nine ways to win, there were a total of 1,331,824 winning tickets sold nationwide in the Friday, April 5th, 2024 drawing.

Mega Millions is a consortium associated with 44 state lotteries. Roughly 50% of the Mega Millions sales goes back towards the players in prize winnings. Roughly 15% goes to commission of retailers and lottery operation expenses. Around 35% total sales is used to support government services, education and charities in the participating states. To play, choose 5 numbers from 1 to 56 and select one Mega Ball number from 1 to 15. The overall chances of winning are about 1 to 14. The chances of matching 6 Mega Millions numbers are about 1 in 258 million. The minimum Mega Millions grand prize is 12 million dollar. Its annuity option is paid in 26 equal annual installments.
