Powerball jackpot rises to $343 million Wednesday; 1 player won the second prize

The jackpot in the Powerball multi-state lottery game has been increased to $343 million. The cash option will be a projected $233.3 million. The prize amount was rolled over since no one matched all six winning numbers in Saturday's $321 million drawing. The next Powerball lottery drawing is Wednesday night. The numbers drawn Saturday night, January 18th, 2020 were 20-24-38-56-68 with Power Ball 18. The Powerball jackpot has been growing for 22 draws since Wednesday, November 6th, 2019. The last jackpot was won by one lucky ticket sold in California, matched all six numbers for a $150.00 million top prize.
Though there was no jackpot winner Saturday evening, Powerball had some big winners. There was a sole lucky winner correctly matched the first five white ball numbers but missed Powerball number, which won the 2nd prize. The one lucky ticket(s) sold in Pennsylvania, each won $1 million cash by matching all 5 white ball numbers.
Also, 28 tickets matched four of the five lotto numbers, as well as the Powerball number. Those tickets are each worth $10,000. 4 additional tickets of this prize level were also wisely bought with the Power Play option that multiplied winnings 4 times to $40,000 cash! Additional winners Saturday evening included 507 tickets that matched four white ball numbers and won $100. 112 additional players not only matched 4 white ball, and also chose the Power Play option, double the prizes to a total win of $200 each! 1407 tickets matched three of the five lotto numbers, plus the Powerball number. These tickets are also each worth $100. There were 305 tickets matched 3+1 with Power Play option, doubled the winnings to win a total win of $200 each.
With 9 different ways to win, the Saturday night's drawing produced 1,066,010 winning tickets across U.S. with a total amount of $0 prizes.
